The underlying principle of a corporately ‘well’ enterprise is that ‘well’ people and a ‘well’ culture underpins a more energized and high performance output from the organization in its broadest sense. This is attained through employees improving their personal health, their relationships with other people at work, their own alignment to the organization’s purpose and ultimately by ensuring their own ‘healthy’ performance in delivering the goods and service that the organization offers. Considerable recent research indicates that high organizational performance and success in terms of Organisation Wellness are significantly based on four key factors or clusters. These are that they:

  • Think in a ‘balanced’ way, act in a mature and centered manner, in reasonable control of any fears, frustrations and failings, respond to and manage pressure, deal with people fairly with assertive confidence, have views / opinions / beliefs / values which can be articulated and communicated; maintain physical health.
  • Avoid being aggressive, out of control, causing harm to individuals or groups; recognize when to say ‘no’, when to admit errors or failings, learn consistently and continuously; are mentally clear and able to think ‘out-of-the-box’ and think in positive terms to achieve results in a well ‘connected’ way.
  • Understand and value unique organizational behavior, performance ability and ‘purpose’; know people’s needs and preferences within the context of their overall life; encourage emotional balance; Can manage difficult people appropriately and deal with conflict constructively.
  • Encourage ‘performance’ to peak capacity, knowing when personal competency levels are challenged beyond capability; Encourage people to be internally ‘level headed’ and grounded and have a healthy meaning and purpose to work and life.

The four key factors each have three sub-categories (or twelve sub-categories in all). The Enterprise Pulse™ - Organisation Wellness survey asks questions in each of these twelve sub-categories to create a rich and meaningful output report.

  • Confidence
  • Mental agility
  • Physical health
  • Collaborative relationships
  • Empathy
  • Communication effectiveness
  • Values alignment
  • Work-life balance
  • Goal clarity
  • Achievement orientation
  • Growth potential
  • Adaptability

The Enterprise Pulse™ - Organisation Wellness survey assumes that an effective or high performance Wellness focused culture should be looking to create high levels of effectiveness in all four key quadrants (and therefore all twelve sub-categories).
