an annual performance appraisal session to measure how behaviors, preferences or
competencies may have changed over time (self or 360 degree feedback)
- After
an appraisal session to gain a deeper perspective on development needs
identified from the one to one discussion and to develop a personal
action plan
- As a means
to discover areas for improvement in a specific area like time management
or communication etc.

organization
- Having
individual(s) to complete a questionnaire before a training course or
workshop to better understand their own preferences or competencies
or to more fully understand the topic area to be discussed
- Encouraging
an individual(s) to assess themselves in particular areas prior to or in preperation for
a promotion, rotation or job move.
- As a means
of helping individuals better understand critical feedback from others
about behaviors or competencies that are seen to be in need of development
