The profiles-r-us.com system aims to help
individuals, teams and whole organizations to become better
at diagnosis and targeting of their efforts (and the review
of relative success after they have delivered the appropriate
intervention).
We believe that proper diagnosis and focus
or targeting is fundamental to organizational development
effort in particular where the 'bench-strength' of people
is the critical need and strategic effort in this area is
critical to medium to long term success (in areas such as
leadership, selection for key roles, creating a high performance
culture, teamwork, etc.).
Whether assessments are used individually
(in particular team situations) applied to a 'vertical slice'
of employees or applied to people across the entire enterprise,
in our view, their diagnostic capability allows the organization
to quickly plan and prioritize and target its effort. This
is proverbially to plan a 'rifle shot' rather than a 'scatter
gun' approach. By utilizing such assessments on the Internet/Intranet,
the significant additional advantage is that all results can
be analyzed individually or aggregated in a multitude or ways
to create rich collective data that can focus attention in
key areas almost immediately. Over time, this database of
information provides a highly sophisticated calibration system
to assess whether real progress has been made (whether it
relates to personal effectiveness, training, change, behavioral
modification, culture shift, etc).
180 degree and 360 degree capability
It is no accident that more than twenty
of the profiles/assessments currently included on the site
offer 180 degree or full 360-degree capability. We clearly
therefore believe that third party feedback is critical not
only in areas such as leadership or management skills but
across a range of subject areas (for either individuals or
teams of people). As such, we see that our assessments offer
the opportunity to gain deeper insights across a wide variety
of topics (like quality or change management capability at
an organizational level for example, or problem solving or
stress handling capability for example, at an individual level.
