The Situational Communication® Style instrument describes 12 individual scenarios in which individuals are asked to select the most appropriate response from four alternatives offered. However, in this case, the scenarios are all based on familiar workplace communication topics or circumstances.
This instrument helps individuals to determine which of the four communication styles they are likely to prefer (including their primary and secondary styles) and the extent to which they may be able to ‘flex’ their styles according to the needs of different audiences or receivers.
The Situational Communication® Style instrument can be used as a self assessment or to obtain 360 degree feedback from colleagues by asking them to look at the same 12 scenarios to rate how they believe a particular individual is likely to respond. |
