Rather than focusing on the preparation steps and methods that people should develop ahead of a presentation, the Presentation Style Assessment is a self-scoring instrument to determine your style preferences when presenting to a group. This then allows individuals to learn how to “flex” their style to do the best job possible for a given audience.
Based on the wider and popular Situational Communication® model, this assessment describes four very different presentation styles that should be matched with audience readiness levels. These are the styles of Informing, Persuading, Exploring and Enabling.
The instrument gives individuals 12 presentation scenarios (in presenting approach rather than content terms) with four alternatives to choose from. |
