Welcome to the Financial Acumen Inventory.

Instruments which take a "Situational" perspective generally use a four quadrant grid format to help an individual to determine which style he or she seems to favor the most, once known the person can access how readily he or she may be able to "flex" into their styles in order to match the different circumstances or "Situations" that may be encounted on a day to day basis.

Financial Acumen Inventory

Every individual within an enterprise (and not just the professional finance or accounting people) needs to understand or appreciate the basics of organizational finances. In so doing, people can then make a full contribution to the overall financial well-being of the enterprise over the medium to long-term. This assessment describes four areas of financial knowledge or acumen and as a result of completing the questionnaire recommends that both understanding each area and developing the ability to appreciate each of them are important. When answered honestly, the assessment helps the participant to determine his or her area of greatest knowledge or acumen and provides ideas on actions you can take to develop knowledge in other areas that are in need of further development. Possible strategies to follow, and a Personal Action Plan to help you move forward are also included in the report.
